Krisheim East Residences
AKA designed four houses, collectively named Krisheim East Residences, to form a small cluster around a large open green space in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. The houses share a material palette of stucco bases, clapboard siding, shingle roofs, and galvanized metal eaves, gutters, and downspouts, but vary in form and siting. One of the four houses was designed to be fully accessible for an owner with limited mobility.
The other three houses are similar in form with gambrel roofs and a free standing garage forming two sides of the front entry courtyards. The fourth fully accessible house is crowned with a large overhanging gable roof. The back of each house looks out over the shared meadow - preserved as open space in perpetuity.
